New release page: The Real Bag of Shake

The Real Bag of Shake just got a home it deserves. It’s the mix I’m most proud of — a 2007 breaks-and-dubstep journey built track by track in Ableton — and now it’s got a release page to match.

The Real Bag of Shake front cover — artwork and design by Go Media

The real star might be the artwork. That incredible cover and design are by Go Media, and seeing it full-size on the new page is the whole point — go look.

And keep your eyes open: an old friend of mine, COS, is somewhere on that page, dancing like nobody’s watching. He’s backed me for years, so I snuck him in. I won’t tell you where — but you’ll know him when you see him. 👀

Check out Saturday Night Vinyl

I’ve got a new project I want you to check out: Saturday Night Vinyl.

It’s where I share my own DJ mixes — with full, track-by-track breakdowns — plus the cool tracks and releases I dig up along the way. Breaks, drum & bass, house, 2-step, and everything in between: if it’s got a beat and something worth sharing, it’s there. If Friday is for vinyl, Saturday is for the electronic side of the collection.

A couple of mixes are up already:

  • Revolutions — a nu skool breaks mix, 21 tracks in just under 60 minutes of bass-heavy breaks. The name is a nod to my love of sneakers (the Nike Air Revolution especially), another trip around the sun, and the way I revolve between new tracks and the classics I used to play out years ago.
  • Lowered Expectations — a slower, deeper breakbeat journey built on long blends and mid-tempo pressure. It’s for anyone who still loves long, technical mixes, deep basslines, and the feeling of driving slow at night with nowhere in particular to be.

Each mix comes with a full write-up — the story behind it and a track-by-track walkthrough of how it all fits together.
